Easter’s coming up. Here’s a picture of my younger nephew and his two grandmother’s at my library for our indoor Easter egg hunt in 2008. Not my favorite program of the year… the run for eggs always seemed so dangerous.
Happy hunting,
Jess

This was probably our first Small Animals Day on the Michigan State University campus, back when they used to bus visitors from farm to farm circa 1983. I am the one reaching for the horse. Mom and my brother are at the corner of the pen looking at the foals.
This year’s version takes place on April 12th.
Happy hunting,
Jess

Sandals, sun, flowers… It’s time, people. Gran and I have been waiting way too long!
This is Gran on the back porch of her former home in Rockford, Michigan.
Happy hunting and here’s hoping for a real spring soon!

I’m likely to end up missing or replacing my Wordless Wednesday post this week, so take this as an early nod.
Here’s a photo from one of my Irish lines. These are my 2nd Great Grandfather Cornelius and my Great Grandfather Robert James Shea. Cornelius was born in New York to an Irish born father. I’ll tell you more about him in a future 52 Ancestors post.
Happy hunting,
Jess

Man you looked like a kid! My cousin who is celebrating a birthday this week and his eldest child. They’re lounging on top of his much younger stepbrother. (Sorry, Jack!)
Happy hunting,

Saturday, March 1st, will mark the 102 anniversary of the birth of my Great Aunt Roseanna Lee Trotter Johnson. She was born in 1912 in Bradley County, Arkansas and married Leroy Johnson in 1932. This photo was one shared with my father prior to a recent Trotter family reunion.
Happy hunting,
Jess
P.S. Sharp-eyed Bradley County researchers, check out the picture in the upper left-hand corner. I swear I’ve seen that posted somewhere. It’s not something I’ve found in my collection.
